LKS2 Olympics Planning

This LKS2 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading themed around the Olympics, ready for use as we build up to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games!

There are three days of work featuring extracts from O is For Olympics and Dinosaur Olympics, plus a look at a BBC Newsround article on the history of the Olympic Games.

There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice, plus work on a range of KS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.
