UKS2 - Awesome Men: Sir Charles Darwin

This UKS2 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading designed to be used as part of the annual celebration each November – International Men’s Day – and stars the incredibly important Sir Charles Darwin!

There are extracts from two excellent books – Charles Darwin’s On the Origin of Species and Charles Darwin and the Beagle Adventure – plus a Newsround article to explore.

There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice, plus work on a range of KS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.

Three writing challenges are also included!
