UKS2 – Mayans Topic WCR

This UKS2 resource features a week of fully-planned whole-class reading with a focus on the topic of the Mayans!

There are extracts from two excellent books – The Chocolate Tree and the graphic novel The Hero Twins Against the Lords of Death – plus a BBC Bitesize article called ‘Who Were the Ancient Maya?’

There is daily vocabulary work and retrieval practice, plus work on a range of KS2 reading comprehension skills based on the National Curriculum reading content domains.

Three writing challenges are also included!
